BIOGRAPHY

Elena Malerba (b. 1996, Genoa, Italy) is an artist and anthropologist whose work explores the subtle territories between the seen and unseen. Although she never studied art in an academic setting, painting has been a lifelong necessity— . Her practice often combines acrylics and pastels, allowing fluid gestures, layered textures and intuitive mark-making to guide the composition.

Art approaches Elena as a way of observing and feeling the rhythms of life. Her practice perceives art as a free force allowing her to reflect on cycles, the movement of consciousness, and the delicate threshold between dream and reality. She is drawn to the invisible forces that shape our internal and external worlds and returns often to the enduring mystery of love.

Her paintings invite viewers into spaces where form remains dynamic and meaning evolves. They are meditations in motion: a quiet invitation to feel, to remember, and to simply be.
